Iconic national retailer Edinburgh Woollen Mill has opened its doors at its newest location, Lancashire tourist attraction Oswaldtwistle Mills.
The much-loved Scottish store is now selling its range of high-quality clothing aimed at the 45-and-over market.
It comes as a huge coup for Oswaldtwistle Mills, a year on from the opening of its Pavers Shoes footwear store.
Edinburgh Woollen Mill continues to strengthen its position in the UK retail sector, on the rise having undergone a change of ownership in 2001.
Michael Hogg of Edinburgh Woollen Mill said: “Oswaldtwistle Mills, as a speciality tourist site, provides us with an ideal location. There is a huge amount of passing trade which fits our customer profile perfectly.
“We will be providing the finest quality products, manufactured to the high standard which has helped us garner our reputation over the years. Judging by the figures from our opening weekend, we are excited about a long and fruitful relationship here.”
Oswaldtwistle Mills owner Boyd Hargreaves said: “We are pleased to have attracted such a popular name to our establishment. Edinburgh Woollen Mill has been a consumer favourite for many years and we have a stronger proposition for having them within our walls.
“Our set-up is perfect for them, and for the likes of Pavers Shoes, as we have a large amount of footfall. We have a regular flow of tourists visiting by coach.
“Customers arrive willing to spend, looking to treat themselves, to enjoy a meal and take part in some of our activities and attractions. Retailers here can really take advantage of that.”
Oswaldtwistle Mills will be welcoming another new national retailer into the Mill in September with the addition of a Mountain Warehouse concession.
Oswaldtwistle Mills Shopping Village is an award winning tourist destination with a unique combination of over 100 retail concessions there is something for everyone; from clothes to crafts, gadgets to garden centre, attractions and eateries.
