This position requires a high degree of computer literacy combined with a thorough, analytical approach and excellent communication skills. The cash office is a pressurised environment and the ability to handle a substantial workload, prioritise effectively, work within deadlines and have a good knowledge of Excel is essential.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to be flexible, enthusiastic, assertive and adaptable where required.
Experience of working in a busy cash office environment would be desirable.
The position is 30 hours over 4 days to include a weekend day.
The successful candidate will need to be DBS checked.
A general summary of required tasks (however this is not exhaustive):
Shared responsibility for cash office reporting directly to store management
Ensuring reconciliation of cash sheets on a daily basis
Cash Handling preparing cash, cheques etc ready for banking,
Preparing till floats
Investigating, monitoring and reviewing any till differences
Control of petty cash
Inputting of data into EPOS system to support stock control/merchandising team
Analysis of retail sales/stock inventories to support department/store management
Action any other reasonable duties required by senior management
