Especially attractive in the summer months, there’s lots to do on our mill grounds – it’s a great place for children to run off all that excess energy, with a wooden adventure playground, sand pit, bird aviary, seasonal events and owl displays. Enjoy the beautiful stream, Tinkerbrook, that feeds the two water lodges and winds through our mill grounds.
Our mill grounds are also home to a wide variety of wildfowl that reside on our two lodges. Come along and see our black swan, Chinese goose, white geese, mandarins, mallards, pochards and many more. We even have a pair of storks that visit us on a daily basis.
Grab yourself a coffee from the Picnic in the Park outside cafe (opening times vary) and sit a while in our tranquil picnic area. Enjoy the sun, birds and activities in our historic and beautiful mill grounds.
We also host Charity fun days throughout the year in the Mill Grounds – just check the events section for details.
